surfaces, glass and other finishes where water spotting can be highly
visible.
Marine Ceramic Coatings
What is a marine ceramic coating?
A marine ceramic coating is a protective surface coating designed to
bond to properly prepared surfaces and provide durable protection
against environmental exposure.
Ceramic coatings can provide a highly hydrophobic surface, helping water
and contaminants run off more readily and making routine cleaning
easier.
The coating does not replace regular washing or maintenance. Proper
preparation before application and appropriate maintenance afterwards
are both important to achieving the best result.
Why use a ceramic coating on a boat?
Boats are exposed to demanding conditions including:

Does a ceramic coating mean I don't need to wash my boat?
No.
This is one of the most common misconceptions about ceramic coatings.
A ceramic coating can make a surface more hydrophobic and easier to
clean, but it does not make a boat maintenance-free.
Regular washing is still important to remove salt, dirt, bird droppings
and other contaminants.
Correct maintenance also helps preserve the performance and appearance
of the coating.
Are ceramic coatings scratch-proof?
No.
Ceramic coatings can provide additional surface protection, but they are
not a substitute for physical protection and should not be considered
scratch-proof.
Deep scratches, impacts, abrasion and other physical damage can still
affect the underlying surface.
Does a ceramic coating hide scratches or oxidation?
No.
Ceramic coatings are not designed to hide significant surface defects.
For the best result, the gelcoat or paint should be properly cleaned,
corrected and polished before the coating is applied.
The coating protects and enhances a properly prepared surface. It does
not replace the restoration process.

Can you remove water spots and calcium from boat windows?

Light contamination may be removed during normal cleaning, while more
established deposits may require specialist glass restoration and

Can you restore heavily stained marine glass?
